بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim(i)
“Dengan menyebut nama Allah Yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Penyayang”
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا – 91:1
Wasy-syamsi wadhuhaaHaa
1. “Demi matahari dan cahayanya di pagi hari,”
By the sun and its brightness
وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا – 91:2
Wal qamari idzaa talaaHaa
2. “dan bulan apabila mengiringinya,”
And [by] the moon when it follows it
وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّاهَا – 91:3
Wannahaari idzaa jallaaHaa
3. “dan siang apabila menampakkannya,”
And [by] the day when it displays it
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَاهَا – 91:4
Wallaili idzaa yaghsyaaHaa
4.” dan malam apabila menutupinya,”
And [by] the night when it covers it
وَالسَّمَاءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا – 91:5
Wassamaa-i wamaa banaaHaa
5. “dan langit serta pembinaannya,”
And [by] the sky and He who constructed it
وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا – 91:6
Wal ardhi wamaa thahaaHaa
6. “dan bumi serta penghamparannya,”
And [by] the earth and He who spread it
وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا – 91:7
Wanafsin wamaa sawwaaHaa
7. “dan jiwa serta penyempurnaannya (ciptaannya),”
And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it
فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا – 91:8
Fa-alhamaHaa fujuurahaa wataqwaaHaa
8. “maka Allah mengilhamkan kepada jiwa itu (jalan) kefasikan dan ketakwaannya.”
And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّاهَا – 91:9
Qad aflaha man zakkaaHaa
9. “sesungguhnya beruntunglah orang yang mensucikan jiwa itu,”
He has succeeded who purifies it,
وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّاهَا – 91:10
Waqad khaaba man dassaaHaa
10. “dan sesungguhnya merugilah orang yang mengotorinya.”
And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا – 91:11
Kadz-dzabat tsamuudu bithaghwaaHaa
11. “(Kaum) Tsamud telah mendustakan (rasulnya) karena mereka melampaui batas,”
Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression,
إِذِ انبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا – 91:12
Idziinba’atsa asyqaaHaa
12. “ketika bangkit orang yang paling celaka di antara mereka,”
When the most wretched of them was sent forth.
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا – 91:13
Faqaala lahum rasuulullahi naaqatallahi wasuqyaaHaa
13. lalu Rasul Allah (Saleh) berkata kepada mereka: (“Biarkanlah) unta betina Allah dan minumannya.”
And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, “[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink.”
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا – 91:14
Fakadz-dzabuuhu fa’aqaruuhaa fadamdama ‘alaihim rabbuhum bidzanbihim fasawwaaHaa
14. “Lalu mereka mendustakannya dan menyembelih unta itu, maka Tuhan mereka membinasakan mereka disebabkan dosa mereka, lalu Allah menyama-ratakan mereka (dengan tanah),”
But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا – 91:15
Walaa yakhaafu ‘uqbaaHaa
15. “dan Allah tidak takut terhadap akibat tindakan-Nya itu.”
And He does not fear the consequence thereof.
